WHO WE ARE

The Uni Hill Eagles Football Club (UHE) was the latest Football Federation Victoria (FFV) registered soccer club in Melbourne’s North in 2017. The Club kicked off its first ever season in 2017 in the Zagame State League Competition.

Originating back in 2015, locals from the northern suburbs got together and started their own kids and seniors Sunday soccer competition dubbed “The Community Cup”.

The competitions intention was to provide a fun and safe activity for locals to take part in. Hiring the Football and Hockey pitches at RMIT University’s Bundoora Campus, we would run either small Hockey field football matches for the juniors or full Football pitch games for the adults, depending on the turn out each week.

Through social media and word of mouth, the surrounding community caught on. This lead to an influx of community attendance which resulted in bigger events with BBQ’s, children’s rides and well organised soccer matches. It is safe to say, it was a big success.

Given its success and in late 2015, a committee was formed and the decision to expand and reach a wider community base was made. With allot of hard work, dedication, community interest and support, the Uni Hill Eagles FC was born and were successful in registering a Senior and Reserve Teams into the Zagame’s State League 5 for the 2017 Season. The 2018 Season saw an exapnsion of our club wuith four Mini Roos participating, a full men’s Thirds Team and a fully fledged Female Seniors Team.

The Uni Hill Eagles FC’s focus will be on the development of youth and junior soccer players throughout Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
